Who we are
Ubiqu is an independent website studio based in Florida, United States. This notice covers the Ubiqu website and its project enquiry form.
- Website operator
- Ubiqu · Florida, United States
- Privacy contact
- Use our enquiry form and include “Privacy request” with your request and any previous enquiry reference. If this is not a business enquiry, enter “Not applicable” for the business name and choose “Not sure — help me scope it”.
Information we collect
Depending on what you provide, the enquiry form collects:
- Your name, email address, business name, website, optional phone number and preferred way to start a conversation.
- Business activities, audience, project goals, intended pages and features, budget, timing and available materials.
- Enquiry progress and choices about shared saving, project follow-up and marketing, with a record of when those choices were saved.
- How you heard about Ubiqu, campaign labels from the link you followed, the page where you started and the referring website’s hostname, where available.
Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, confidential customer records or sensitive personal information in your answers.
How we use it
We use enquiry information to understand your request, assess the scope, prepare a response or proposal and discuss the project with you. Saved preferences help us respect your communication choices and operate the form.
Shared drafts help you resume an unfinished enquiry. Project follow-up for an unfinished form and general marketing are separate choices. Scope, price and timing are agreed separately from submitting an enquiry.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we use your enquiry to take steps you request before a possible contract, your consent for optional shared saving and marketing, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website for necessary technical processing. You can withdraw optional consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Enquiries and your choices
Saving on your device. The form saves progress in this browser. Leaving shared saving unchecked does not send your unfinished answers to Ubiqu.
Optional shared saving and project follow-up. If you choose “Save my enquiry with Ubiqu” and provide a valid email address, unfinished answers are saved to the website database. This choice also gives permission for email follow-up about that project if you do not finish. It is not required to submit.
Optional marketing. A separate checkbox records whether you want website advice and Ubiqu updates. Selecting marketing alone does not send an unfinished form to Ubiqu. It is not required to submit.
Sending your enquiry. The final submission action sends your answers to Ubiqu so the studio can respond, whether or not you chose either optional checkbox.
Unticking shared saving requests removal of the shared draft’s answers. “Clear draft” removes the browser draft and requests withdrawal of an existing shared draft. A successful withdrawal retains a limited record of that decision, without the enquiry answers. These controls do not delete a previously submitted enquiry.
Reading this policy does not give consent to optional marketing or unfinished-enquiry follow-up. Those choices are made separately in the form.
Cookies and browser storage
- Browser draft
- Answers and progress are saved on this device. After 30 days without an update, the form removes the expired draft when it next opens. You can remove it sooner using “Clear draft” or browser settings.
- Enquiry cookie
- A first-party cookie recognises an existing shared or submitted enquiry. It is set for up to 30 days from its latest update. Its expiry does not delete the database record.
Clearing browser storage can remove your ability to resume a draft. Use “Clear draft” before clearing browser data if you also want to withdraw a shared draft.
The current website implementation does not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. Any additional tools and their storage requirements need review before introduction.
How long information is kept
The 30-day browser limit applies only to the copy on your device. It does not automatically delete shared drafts, submitted enquiries or records of your choices from the website database.
Withdrawing an unfinished shared draft removes its answers after the request succeeds. A limited withdrawal record remains so the system can respect that decision.
Enquiry records are retained while needed to review and discuss your request, provide agreed services, keep necessary business records or address legal obligations and disputes. Database retention is reviewed manually; there is no automatic 30-day deletion of submitted enquiries. You can request deletion using the contact method above. Restricted backup copies may remain until the hosting provider’s backup cycle expires.
Your rights and requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, obtain a portable copy, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent, and complain to a privacy regulator. Conditions and exceptions may apply.
A request about information already submitted is separate from clearing a browser draft. We may need information to verify that a request relates to you.
Use the enquiry form linked above for access, correction, deletion or consent-withdrawal requests. State what you would like us to do and include your enquiry reference if available. If European data-protection law applies, you may also contact the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work. We will handle requests under the law that applies to them.
Changes to this policy
We will update this notice when our information practices change and show the updated date above. Where a new use requires permission, a policy update alone will not replace that choice.
